Agenda ECCITE
ECCITE @ NCAD
27 & 28 November 2025
Training days at National College of Art and Design Dublin with ECCITE
After our online event on May 20th there was so much to discuss and we look forward to meeting each other in person!
In May Shona Paul from Glasgow School of Art explained about outreach programmes and reengagement with creative study. Craig Hanlon-Smith from Morley College London talked about foundation learning and Restart, sharing that 1 out of 7 young adults in the UK has no diploma or job (that’s a million people in the age of 16-24).
Stacy Stube from Maryland Institute College of Art in the US introduced us to the entrepreneurial delivery models at the college. Nerea Lizartza and Ander Loyarte from Salesianos Urnieta Educational Center in Spain showed us how their VET centre (vocational training and education) worked with programmes as Ikasenpresa, which promotes entrepreneurship among students in vocational training, as well as international mobility projects that allow students and teachers to gain experience in other countries.
The final speakers were Finola Mc Ternan and Aoife Keogh from National College of Art and Design (NCAD) Dublin. They had invited the Government Department’s research team from the Culture Division of the Irish Government (Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media) to inform us about the Basic Income for the Arts Scheme. Brian O Donnell & Nadia Feldkircher shared the details of the scheme and research on it’s impact. You can find the accompanying report on their portal: BIA_Interviews_Report_2025.pdf.
Finally we announced that our next event will be in person in the wonderful city of Dublin! We will continue on the topics of entrepreneurship and training the teachers from the point of view of transition education.
We would like to welcome you to join us in Dublin at NCAD on:
